TV host KC Montero, 100 partygoers nabbed for allegedly violating community quarantine rules

TV host Casey Miller, more popularly known as KC Montero, and his wife were among the 121 people arrested at a high-end bar in Makati on Sunday for allegedly violating community quarantine guidelines against mass gathering.

During an operation conducted by Makati police at posh roofdeck lounge bar Skye Bar in Barangay Salcedo Village on Sunday afternoon, at least 100 customers were caught drinking liquor — several of them even violating social distancing rules.

Montero said he and his wife only went at the resto-bar for dinner.

"That place was open before so parang feeling ko, okay. Why were they open if they're not allowed to open? Maybe that's my fault, I didn't do my research. So feeling ko, they're allowed to be open. So I went," he said.

The arrested party-goers were brought to the Brgy Guadalupe Nuevo Gym to maintain physical distancing.

Makati City remains under general community quarantine with restaurants and cafes only allowed to operate at 30 percent of its capacity. Bars are still prohibited from reopening.
