Cebuanos rule Ironkids

Azuela Cove, Davao—Cebu bets Earol Belonquil and Marielle Estreba both came from behind to rule the 13-to-14 years old age group in the boys and the girls category of the Alaska Fortified IRONKIDS Philippines held here yesterday.

Belonquil trailed pace-setter Zedrick James Borja out of the swim then teamed up with fellow Cebuano Matthew Justine Hermosa to overtake Borja. Belonquil relied on his length and longer strides to finish one second of Hermosa.

Borja finished third, Akio Habana was fourth while Jacob Kennedy Lipura was fifth.

Estreba trailed Arianna Danielle Lim by six full seconds after the swim but caught up early in the run to win comfortably. Jeanna Mariel Caneta was second while Lim finished third. Sherr Elbereth Daniot was fourth while Aliyah Dianne Gregorio took fifth place.
