How to plan a quick getaway

It’s a mistake to think that going on a vacation is impossible if you don’t have too much time to plan. In this digital age, a quick getaway is always possible and within reach in just a few clicks.

Global online marketplace OLX wants to be everyone’s travel buddy, as it offers these three tips to help even the busiest person plan the perfect vacation.

Step 1: Choose your destination

When choosing where to go, determine whether you want to go on a road trip or travel by airplane. If you don’t want to fly out, consider the top three destinations for long drives according to the OLX Data Hub: Pampanga, Laguna, and Batangas. But if you want to fly to a domestic location, Bohol, Cebu, and Cagayan De Oro are the top three on OLX’s list.

Step 2: Map out your days

Research the things you can do at your chosen destination online. If you’re going outdoors, you might need things like hiking or camping equipment. Beach bound? You might need snorkeling and other swimming gear. You can easily find these items on OLX and get them for an affordable price.

You can also search for tour services on OLX. The service allows you to explore the place through the lens of a local guide, and find out the best dining spots, too.

Step 3: Get there

Now that you know where to go, and planned your itinerary, you now need to determine how to get there. If you’re going on a road trip, but don’t have a ride, you may opt to rent a vehicle—OLX has listings for car and van rentals depending on your need.
