HISTORY
The Standard Publication, Inc. was established on January 1, 1987 by the Burgos Group as a Publishing Company. In September 1988 the company was bought by ELIZALDE and changed its name to Manila Standard News, Inc. Then again, another change in name occurred when the company was again acquired by ANSCOR and a printing press was purchased for the purpose of printing the newspaper alone. After a year, the new company was named Kagitingan Publication, Inc. In May 1991, the company was spun-off into two, the Kamahalan Publishing Corporation (KPC) as the publisher and the Kagitingan Printing Press, Inc. (KPPI) as the printer. Within the same year 50% of the equity of each company was sold to the YUCHENGCO?s thru the House of Investments (H.I.). Management then decided to maximize operations of the printing side of the company by accepting other commercial jobs as well. That was the start of our commercial printing operations. In September 1995, Kimberly Ventures, Inc. bought out the shares of the Yuchengco group. The two companies have retained their names to the present and have worked harmoniously in the publication and printing of Kamahalan Publishing Corp.?s Publication of Manila Standard.
