atecrasher is the term used to describe someone who attends parties uninvited. Gatecrasher is also the name of a series of dance music events in the UK since 1993. The Gatecrasher brand has since spread throughout the world in the form of both club and big room gigs. In Manila, Gatecrasher, instrumental in the popularity of trance and house, is perennially being brought to us under the Bigfish banner.

Happening on this month’s Friday the 13th, Gatecrasher: Innovation Black will fill the A.Venue Events Hall with young men and women all dressed in black (yes, that’s the dress code).

The night will open with local club scene demi-legend Anton Ramos, who’s been part of almost every major club event in the city—thanks to the popularity of his best-selling compilation CDs, The Chillout Project.

Set to introduce their distinct sound to the city’s partyphiles, Kyau & Albert will take the booth right after Ramos. They are a German duo—Ralph Kyau and Steven Moebius Albert—who are touted as one of the most original postmodern electronic music act. Aside from managing their own label, Euphoria, Kyau & Albert are also DJs, remixers and producers. Albert even provides the vocals to their artist releases.

Some of their more chart-busting hits include “Made of Sun,” “Velvet Morning,” “Walk Down” and “Always a Fool.” They’ve remixed singles by Young Parisians, Cressida, Lange and Paul van Dyke. They’re also steadily climbing the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list—they’re already at number 22.
