Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos is hosting a rap contest inspired by the late Francis Magalona as a strong statement against substance abuse.

He said the competition dubbed as “Mandalu-Young: Kabataan Kontra Droga” will be held in the city’s gymnasium at 8 p.m. tomorrow by the Mandaluyong Anti-Drug Abuse Council.

Abalos said certified residents from the city’s 27 villages may enlist as individual or group (five members maximum) with no age limit.

Winners will receive cash awards and the winning piece will be included in the Mandalu-Young Kinabukasan ng Bayan Mixtape Vol. 1 containing hits from Karylle, Luke Mijares, Krazykyle, D-coy, Pikaso and other chartbusters. Gigi Muñoz David
