Shell cuts prices by up to P2

SHELL cut diesel and kerosene prices by P1 a liter, gasoline by P0.50 a liter, and cooking gas by P2 a kilogram at midnight last night as a result of falling oil prices.

Other distributors were yet to announce price reductions but were expected to follow suit.

Distributors cut cooking gas prices by P2 a kilogram last week, or P22 per 11-kilogram tank.

Last week, unleaded gasoline was being retailed at P29.50 to P36.96 a liter, gasoline mixed with 10-percent ethanol at P29 to P35.97, kerosene at P32.58 to P36.24, and liquefied petroleum gas at P508 to P580 per 11-kilogram tank.

Dubai crude slid by $1 to $43 a barrel on Feb. 26 from $44 in January. Alena Mae S. Flores
