Manila Police Chief Supt. Roberto Rosales has ordered tight security for Undersecretary Ramon Aquino, who survived an ambush try Wednesday afternoon in front of the Public Works Department main office in Port Area, Manila.

Undersecretary Rafael Yabut said he visited Aquino at the intensive care unit of the Manila Doctors Hospital where he was brought along with his driver Tony Canalete and aide Victor Salonga.

Rosales said footages taken by the closed-circuit television cameras at the agency?s premises were being reviewed.

?I have instructed our investigators to look into public life of Aquino, his transactions and projects at the agency to determine if the ambush was work related.?

Probers also were looking into a possible link between the slay try and last week?s break-in at the office of Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane Jr.

?He has lost a lot of blood. But he is now in stable condition,? said Yabut, adding that he was the last person Aquino talked to before the attack. Jing Villamente and Joel E. Zurbano
