Que seeks breakthrough triumph

ANGELO Que has consistently made the cuts in the Asian Tour and is certainly hoping to do the same in the Mercedes-Benz Tour, which will host the inaugural leg Mercedes-Benz Masters Singapore starting today.

Que is actually on a roll, making it past the final rounds in four of five events where he played in the Asian Tour. He was 43rd in the Asian Tour International, 16th in the Maybank Malaysian Open, 22nd in the Enjoy Jakarta Indonesia Open and in the 22nd Singha Thailand Open.

It was only in the Johnnie Walker Classic that Que, the Philippine Sportswriters Association?s awardee for golf in 2008, was booted out.

?It?s been so far, so good. My 80-percent success rate is a wonderful number. I?m just hoping to have a breakthrough win somewhere. The Mercedes-Benz Masters looks like a pretty venue to have it,? Que said.

Aside from Que, other Filipinos in the Asian Tour like Juvic Pagunsan, Frankie Mi?oza, Artemio Murakami, Tony Lascuna, Angelo Que, and Mars Pucay will most likely play in the $60,000 tournament.

Pagunsan, who took home $7,744.44 at the Singha Thailand Open last Sunday, is expected to fare well in the tour?s opening salvo. Like Que, he is doing well in the Asian Tour.

Also seeing action is Cassius Casas, who was voted the Most Inspiring Player of the Year of the MB Tour, when he won the B Championship, his first triumph in nearly five years. Adriano Flores
