| MOTORING Lapped in luxury
Lexus Manila has opened its modern showroom at the Global City in Taguig, a P280-million edifice that its owner claims to be a reflection of the car brand’s global standard of luxury. Alfred Ty, chairman of Lexus Manila, said the modern architectural style of the Lexus showroom will change the automotive landscape in the Philippines. “The flow of design from its impressive exterior seamlessly blends with the warm and relaxing interiors of the state-of-the-art showroom,” Ty said. All fitted in a 10,500 square meter stage, facilities such as the furniture are unconventional and originally designed for the Lexus showroom. “We want our patrons to be comfortable and relaxed,” Ty said. It is also the first showroom in the country to have a service bay equipped with a climate control system. “This is a place where every customer is treated as if he or she is a personal house guest. This showroom is where customers will experience a unique kind of luxury as we live by our guiding principle in our pursuit of perfection,” said Daniel Isla, president of Lexus Manila. Designed by architect Yuji Hirata of Japan-based Nomura Co. Ltd., the Lexus showroom costs P280 million. Hirata also designed the furniture and commissioned Classic Details to manufacture them for the showroom. “Nomura Co. and Casas Architects are masters of modern architecture whose works are regarded highly in terms of aesthetics and functionality. The facilities that you see here are the first of its kind in the country, as exemplified by the indoor courtyard and unconventional furniture pieces. Like our cars, the Lexus showroom boasts of superior engineering and distinct aesthetics that mark a different kind of luxurious appeal,” Isla said. |
