Suspects on a black SUV fired at and stoned actor Jake Cuenca?s green Expedition (RTG 883) yesterday morning in Mandaluyong City.

Senior Supt. Carlos de Sagun, police chief, and PO2 Danilo Patoc responded to the emergency call at 4:40 a.m.

The 21-year-old actor?s vehicle?registered under his real name Juan Carlos Cuenca?was parked in front of DSL Building on 27 Mayon St. corner Boni Avenue, Barangay Malamig at the time of the incident.

Patok said the rear window was shattered while a .45-cal. bullet pierced the front left fender; dents were all over the vehicle?s body. Cuenca, who is among the leading stars of Tayong Dalawa on ABS-CBN, told police that he and his driver arrived around 2 a.m.

Witness Antonio Orienza, of 557 Makiling St., said he was on his way to market when he saw a black SUV stop near Cuenca?s Expedition and sped away after the incident. He was unable to note the plate number of the vehicle.
