?Justice on Wheels? resumes in Para?aque

Chief Justice Reynato Puno and Para?aque City Mayor Florencio Bernabe Jr. lead today?s re-launching of the ?Justice on Wheels and the Increasing Access to Justice by the Poor Program? at the Don Galo Gymnasium.

Aside from Mobile Court Annexed Mediation, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines will also handle legal aid as part of the decongestion campaign alongside a medical-dental mission for the benefit of inmates.

According to Bernabe, the program seeks to broaden awareness on laws on environment and against violence on women and children, including the issuance of protective orders by village councils.

Para?aque has 784 detainees at present held in one of the most modern jail facilities in the country.
