Pension fund sues former exec, IBM

THE Government Service Insurance System filed criminal charges yesterday against a former GSIS official for his alleged role in the extension of a software use contract.

GSIS lawyer Estrella Elamparo said a criminal complaint has been filed at the Pasay City prosecutor?s office against former GSIS senior vice president for information technology services group Edilberto Ocampo and IBM country general manager James Velasquez for the transaction.

Elamparo claimed the two illegally extended the software use contract for IBM?s OS/390 program from April 1 to June 30 last year for P4.878 million per month.
