Love in the Year of the Ox

By Dinna Chan Vasquez

The Year of the Ox is a good year to find true love and keep it forever, according to feng shui expert Joy Lim of Charms & Crystals.

There are many feng shui formulas, including 8 Mansions and Flying Stars, to increase a person?s love luck, improve existing relationships and foster harmony in marriages.

But there is an ancient Chinese formula that could provide additional help in enhancing love attraction and marriage luck. It is called ?Peach Blossom Formula.?

The formula calls for activating the Peach Blossom direction of a person?s bedroom with the love luck animal. The next step, says Lim, is to activate the Peach Blossom direction of the living room, dining room and work desk.

Here are the directions, according to one?s sign in the Chinese zodiac:

? If you are a Rat, Monkey or Dragon, place a Rooster in the West.

? If you are a Snake, Rooster or Ox, place a Horse in the South.

? If you are a Tiger, Horse or Dog, place a Rabbit in the East.

? If you are a Rabbit, Boar or Goat, place a Rat in the North.

Lim warns that the Peach Blossom Formula should not be misused by those who are already married or committed.

?This could attract third parties and ruin family harmony,? she adds.

The universal love and marriage direction is southwest while the South is the romance and luck direction. For those with ?straying? spouses, the auspicious direction is northwest.

?Put a pair of mandarin ducks in the auspicious direction to enhance love, romance and marriage luck,? says Lim, adding that a soul mate kit, which is available at Charms & Crystals, will also help those who are looking for their ?other half.?

Another feng shui wisdom Lim shares is not to make your bedroom too feminine if you want to attract a man into your life.

?Also, don?t keep anything that will remain you of past relationships that have not been successful. To invite a marriage proposal, wear a rose quartz bracelet with phoenix,? she adds.

Lim also offered the following advice to enhance luck and protect one?s self, family and property from harm.

To increase sales

? Use mirrors to double turnover. Mirrors will make a store appear to be long and deep. Mirrors should reflect the products and cash register.

? The main door should be well lit.

The North should be painted with blue or black wavy patterns.

? Place a mountain of gold and gold rocks near the entrance.

? Place two antique coins on top of the main entrance and three fortune coins on the four corners of the store or business place.

? Activate the southeast direction with lavender for good income.

? Put garlic in a bowl to symbolize counting plenty of money.

Stabilizing one?s career

? Put water in the North corner of the house.

? Put a rooster in the West to protect yourself against office politics.

? Wear a monkey on an elephant for stability.

? Keep the North direction clean at all times.

? Wear an All-in-One bracelet to help you find a job or opportunity easily.

? Put a rooster on top of your work desk for promotion.

Wealth

? Put plants in the southeast of the house.

? Wear a garlic charm bracelet for plenty of money to count.

? Introduce more green in the family area.

? Light three sticks of sandalwood incense during the new moon for cleansing and good luck.

? Wear a citrine bracelet for wealth.

? Don?t buy merchandise from companies or stores that have declared bankruptcy.

? Place a Jhambala in your wealth direction.

? Make sure there is no toilet in the southeast of the house as this will flush out your good luck.

Protection and cures

? Put a rhinoceros for protection against burglary.

? Wear a dog charm for protection against people with evil intentions.

? Place a crab charm in the South to protect yourself against backstabbing.
