No VIP room in Pasay City Jail

Jaime Paule, the alleged bagman in the P728-million fertilizer mess, spent his first day by his lonesome at the Pasay City Jail.

Jail warden Wenefredo Abordo said a newcomer is kept in a 8 feet by 12 feet isolation room before being transferred to the regular cell.

He said the room under the stairway on the second floor has an electric fan and a cot, he added.

“Definitely there is no VIP treatment,” Abordo said, noting that he would be moved out by weekend.

Abordo also confirmed that Paule was briefly treated in the infirmary at around noon yesterday after complaining of chest pains.

Paule was brought to the Pasay jail after being discharged Thursday night from the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City. Ferdinand Fabella
