The Terrace at 5th: A taste of home The launch of the newest dining destination, The Terrace at 5th, was nothing short of warm and welcoming. With seven good friends and food connoisseurs chef Cecille Ysmael, Ching Cruz, Maricris Zobel, Menchu Soriano, Carol Garcia, and interior designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario behind this restaurant, everyone was sure to have a memorable night of revelry and gastronomic treats. The Terrace at 5th was filled with friends, the clinking of wine glasses, and the din of good conversations. Guests enjoyed hors d? oeuvres such as The Terrace at 5th?s Shrimp Cocktail and servings of Prime Angus Beef while others ordered their favorite meals. Drawing attention to the center was an ice bar which kept everyone?s glasses filled with wine, champagne, and other premium cocktails. Moise Ouaknine provided an apt background of soothing vocals and beats. Leading the ribbon-cutting were friends of the owners, Pitoy Moreno, Letty Tan, Maurice Arcache, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Senator Loren Legarda and Rep. Teddyboy Locsin. With such impeccable hosting from the owners of The Terrace at 5th, the party lasted well into the wee hours of the morning. The Terrace at 5th boasts of an array of delightful dishes that have been perfected in the homes of its owners for years. Previously served only to those privileged enough to have dined in their homes, these dishes were lovingly selected for other food lovers to enjoy. Those who crave the flavors and aromas of homemade cooking will relish starters such as Cynthia?s Amazing Artichoke Dip served with melba toasts or tortilla chips and the Provoleta con Chimichuri which is melted provolone cheese topped with chimichuri sauce served with garlic bread. Ladies will love the Laing Pasta a la Cristina and the Terrace Salad which is the restaurant?s signature salad of fresh garden greens topped with crunchy almond chips. Other must-try dishes are the chef?s pride Homestyle Confit of Pork Belly and USDA Prime Angus steak like 1,000 grams Porterhouse, Rib Eye or Fillet Mignon. Savor your meal with a glass of wine from The Terrace at 5th?s wine cellar and you?re in for the perfect dining experience. Ask for the Moet et Chandon Brut Imperial and avail of its special prize of P2,950 until the end of February. Located at the ground floor of Greenbelt 5, The Terrace at 5th projects an idyllic charm with the refreshing shades of green and white. The walls are hand-painted with flowers and birds while the fixtures such as the chairs, tables, and clustered bird cage ceiling lamps are all custom-made.
