From Angel to KC

Piolo Pascual?s next big television project after Lobo is the remake of the hit Koreanovela Lovers in Paris where he?ll share stellar billing with KC Concepcion. This early, the handsome heartthrob expressed his excitement over the project and having KC as his leading lady.

?I?ve seen the original version and I loved it. I got acquainted with the customs and traditions of Koreans, especially when it comes to loving. In the remake, of course, we?ll be highlighting the Filipino culture. We promise that it will be a must-see program,? starts PJ.

The chance to work with KC gives him the opportunity to revive his closeness with the pretty lass.

?I told her I want to rediscover her especially that we?ll be working together in one project. Actually, we lost contact when she studied in Paris before. But I admit we?re going out. And now that she has forayed into the acting scene, I vow to be there for her all the time.

?Apart from Lovers in Paris, we?ll also star in a film under Star Cinema. So we?ll be seeing each other constantly. I?m looking forward to getting to know her better this time. She was just 18 when she left for Paris. It was so sudden. But as I?ve said, I?m excited for any possibility between us in the coming days.?

Piolo takes pride with the fact that KC?s Megastar mom Sharon Cuneta approves of their screen partnership.

?Yes, and I?m relieved! For me, it?s important to get her nod first. I want to thank her for trusting me as KC?s next leading man. I promise to take care of KC and our teamup so she?ll not get disappointed,? relates the talented star.

At present, KC is very close to her When I Met You leading man Richard Gutierrez, but Piolo doesn?t consider him a stumbling block.

?They are always seen together these days because of the promotion of their movie. It?s expected that they become close. But it?s me whom KC will be partnered next. With regard to Richard, we?re friends. In fact, I used to visit the set when they were doing For the First Time. I don?t see any problem with that. As an old adage goes, may the best man win!?

Based on his statement, it?s clear that he likes KC so much.

?Who wouldn?t? She?s so grounded despite her enviable stature. She?s also caring and thoughtful. Even before she left to study in Paris, I had already expressed my intentions for her. That?s why I?m so grateful with this opportunity to work with her. We?ll be away in Paris for a month and she?ll be our tour guide. For sure, our closeness will be rekindled in that span of time,? Piolo assures.

Wife material

According to Luis Manzano, there?s no truth to the rumor that he got jealous of Piolo Pascual who co-starred with girlfriend Angel Locsin in the recently shown Love Me Again.

?Never did I feel that! I knew it was part of the job. As a growing boy, I?ve seen my parents on TV with various partners. At an early age, I knew it comes with the work. One thing with me, I?m not a close-minded bloke. And I trust Angel a lot,? he explains.

Despite the intrigues being hurled at their relationship, Luis maintains, ?I?m very happy with Angel! In fact, if I will rate it 10 in a scale of 1 to 10. It?s a perfect 10. No matter what others say, everything?s fine between us.?

Asked if Angel is the girl he wants to settle down with eventually, Luis says, ?I?m hoping! I don?t want to give a showbiz reply. The future has so much in store for both of us. I don?t want to waste our time. Whatever we?re in right now, I hope it?s for the long run just like a fairy tale with a happy ending. I can say that Angel is a wife material. For one, she loves and regards her family so much. I?m sure she?ll be a good homemaker.?

Absolutely not the breadwinner

Ara Mina recently shed light on the issue that at present Cristine Reyes acts as the breadwinner in their family since her younger sister allegedly has a more steady income than she. Cristine is the lead star in the remake of the Alma Moreno classic Eva Fonda and is also a mainstay in the sexy sitcom Banana Split. Ara meanwhile, has no regular show.

?I won?t deny that she?s helping in the finances of the family but she?s not totally the breadwinner!? stated the voluptuous actress-singer. ?I still give my share up to now like my mom?s allowance.?

Ara doesn?t hide that for a long time now, she is supporting the family. She?s happy with the development that Cristine is also helping now.

?She voluntarily supports our other siblings and gives money to our mom. It?s true that currently, she earns well and I?m glad she is sharing her blessings. At least now, it?s not only me.?

With Cristine?s career on the upswing, Ara is grateful to ABS-CBN.

Back in each other?s arms

After headlining the top-rating soap opera LaLola which had just concluded, Rhian Ramos is back in Richard Gutierrez?s arms. It?s confirmed that the svelte beauty is the matinee idol?s leading lady in his soon-to-be launched Zorro.

Rhian was launched as Richard?s leading lady in Captain Barbell a few years ago. A virtual unknown during those times, many eyebrows were raised upon her being chosen for the role. But surprisingly, she drew raves and eventually became one of the Kapuso network?s most in-demand female stars.

Many say that Rhian is Richard?s lucky charm. To date, all the projects they starred in together after Barbell spelled success: Lupin, Codename: Asero, and the movie The Promise. The same is expected in Zorro.
